What would Da say? Tim McGarry, star of Give My Head Peace, The Blame Game, and hugely popular stand-up comedian and broadcaster, is getting it out for solidarity. Long-time supporter of Belfast-based charity Tools for Solidarity, Tim’s decided after 30-odd years providing tools and sewing machines to groups in East Africa, these folks deserve a gig of their own. Join him and brilliant support acts Mary Flanigan (Laughing Horse Free Fringe) and Terry McHugh (Blame Game) for a fabulous night of comedy.
ABOUT TERRY MCHUGH & MARY FLANIGAN:
Terry McHugh is a fast-rising local comedy star. The former yo-yo champion has gigged all over the country and supported both Jake O'Kane and Tim McGarry on their recent tours. Earlier this year he made his second appearance as guest comedian on the Blame Game.
Mary Flanigan has been gigging for 3 years, making a name for herself in the comedy circuit across the U.K. and Ireland. She was a semi-finalist in the Funny Women 2016 awards, has been featured on BBC Radio Ulster, and has written for Late Licence on BBC NI. She was featured in the Laughing
Horse Free Fringe with her one-woman show 'Mary Flanigan Is A Pisces, Obviously'.
ABOUT TOOLS FOR SOLIDARITY:
Tools for Solidarity collects hand tools and sewing machines across Northern Ireland. International volunteers and local people with disabilities refurbish the tools and machines in our Sunnyside Street workshop. The recycled tools are shipped to projects in Africa, helping artisans there to improve their
livelihoods and support their families.
In association with Belfast Comedy Festival.
